Contacting the Practice

Over the past two years, we have worked hard to improve access for patients.  You can now contact us by filling in a form on our website, by phone or, if it suits you better, in person.  If you call in at Reception, a member of staff will help you navigate our systems if needed. 

Regardless of how you contact us, your enquiry is entered on to our system and then followed up by either our admin or clinical team as necessary.  Medical enquiries are triaged and, depending on your need, you may be called or messaged by the triage clinician, contacted to book a telephone or face to face appointment or directed to another local provider such as one of the Community Pharmacies.  This process is one that is being adopted by many Practices to ensure that patients’ needs are met as quickly as possible, leading to better, safer outcomes for all our patients.

We know that it is still too difficult to get through to the Practice on the phone.  Over the coming weeks we will be making some changes and you should start to notice an improvement.  Unfortunately this means that a few familiar faces will be moving on.  We will miss them and wish them well for the future.  

From Christmas, Reception at Giggs Hill will be staffed from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.  There is no change to operating hours for Glenlyn Reception or the phones, which are staffed 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours or in the case of a medical emergency, you should contact either 111 or 999 as the case may be.
