Introducing Our New Telephone AI Assistant

At Glenlyn, we are continually looking at ways to improve your experience.   With this in mind, and acting on patient feedback, from Tuesday, 17 February, we will be trialling a Telephone AI Assistant to help manage our appointments phone system.  The new system is designed to:

  • Answer every call instantly: No more waiting on hold.
  • Follow our trusted processes: The AI works just like our receptionists to maintain consistency and care.
  • Improve efficiency: Quicker call handling means greater access to our services for all patients. This cutting-edge technology supports our team in providing you with the high-quality care you deserve.

  • How does it work: When calling the practice, the phone will be answered by an AI assistant who will take your details exactly as the reception team do currently.  You still have the option to complete the forms online or to ask to be transferred to a human being. 
  • Is it safe: The information you give us will be passed to the triage team and assessed by one of our clinicians who may contact you to make a consultation appointment. Alternatively, depending on your symptoms, you may be directed to an alternative provider such as Pharmacy First or a Walk in Centre, etc..
  • Is my data secure: All interactions comply with GDPR and relevant regulations. Your personal information is never shared or used outside of managing your healthcare.

We understand that not everyone finds digital or automated systems easy to use, and we remain committed to supporting people who may prefer alternative ways to contact the practice.
