Meningococcal B (Men B vaccination)
Meningococcal B (MenB vaccination).
Introduced in 2015 as part of routine childhood immunisations. Those currently over 10 years old would not have received it routinely. It is not available on the NHS for children over 2 years old.
Meningococcal ACWY (MenACWY) vaccination:
Offered to teenagers in school Years 9 and 10 and delivered via school immunisations teams. Children and young people who missed the school programme remain eligible for the vaccination up to their 25th birthday, either via the school immunisation team catch-up programme or if 14 or over from their GP.
Please check your child's or your own vaccination status via the NHS App in the first instance.
